This article spoke to my heart since it is why I do what I do….
thank you Ben Stein! Life Is Too Short! Enjoy!!!

For many years Ben Stein has written a biweekly column called ”Monday Night At Morton’s.” (Morton’s is a famous chain of Steakhouses known to be frequented by movie stars and famous people from around the globe.) Now, Ben is terminating the column to move on to other things in his life. Reading his final column is worth a few minutes of your time.

Ben Stein’s Last Column…

How Can Someone Who Lives in Insane Luxury Be a Star in Today’s World?

As I begin to write this, I ’slug’ it, as we writers say, which means I put a heading on top of the document to identify it. This heading is ‘eonline FINAL,’ and it gives me a shiver to write it. I have been doing this column for so long that I cannot even recall when I started. I loved writing this column so much for so long I came to believe it would never end.

It worked well for a long time, but gradually, my changing as a person and the world’s change have overtaken it. On a small scale, Morton’s, while better than ever, no longer attracts as many stars as it used to. It still brings in the rich people in droves and definitely some stars. I saw Samuel L. Jackson there a few days ago, and we had a nice visit, and right before that, I saw and had a splendid talk with Warren Beatty in an elevator, in which we agreed that Splendor in the Grass was a super movie. But Morton’s is not the star galaxy it once was, though it probably will be again.

Beyond that, a bigger change has happened..? I no longer think Hollywood stars are terribly important. They are uniformly pleasant, friendly people, and they treat me better than I deserve to be treated. But a man or woman who makes a huge wage for memorizing lines and reciting them in front of a camera is no longer my idea of a shining star we should all look up to.

How can a man or woman who makes an eight-figure wage and lives in insane luxury really be a star in today’s world, if by a ’star’ we mean someone bright and powerful and attractive as a role model? Real stars are not riding around in the backs of limousines or in Porsches or getting trained in yoga or Pilates and eating only raw fruit while they have Vietnamese girls do their nails.

They can be interesting, nice people, but they are not heroes to me any longer. A real star is the soldier of the 4th Infantry Division who poked his head into a hole on a farm near Tikrit , Iraq . He could have been met by a bomb or a hail of AK-47 bullets. Instead, he faced an abject Saddam Hussein and the gratitude of all of the decent people of the world.

A real star is the U.S. soldier who was sent to disarm a bomb next to a road north of Baghdad . He approached it, and the bomb went off and killed him.

A real star, the kind who haunts my memory night and day, is the U.S. soldier in Baghdad who saw a little girl playing with a piece of unexploded ordnance on a street near where he was guarding a station. He pushed her aside and threw himself on it just as it exploded. He left a family desolate in California and a little girl alive in Baghdad ..

The stars who deserve media attention are not the ones who have lavish weddings on TV but the ones who patrol the streets of Mosul even after two of their buddies were murdered and their bodies battered and stripped for the sin of trying to protect Iraqis from terrorists.

We put couples with incomes of $100 million a year on the covers of our magazines. The noncoms and officers who barely scrape by on military pay but stand on guard in Afghanistan and Iraq and on ships and in submarines and near the Arctic Circle are anonymous as they live and die.

I am no longer comfortable being a part of the system that has such poor values, and I do not want to perpetuate those values by pretending that who is eating at Morton’s is a big subject.

There are plenty of other stars in the American firmament…the policemen and women who go off on patrol in South Central and have no idea if they will return alive; the orderlies and paramedics who bring in people who have been in terrible accidents and prepare them for surgery; the teachers and nurses who throw their whole spirits into caring for autistic children; the kind men and women who work in hospices and in cancer wards.

Think of each and every fireman who was running up the stairs at the World Trade Center as the towers began to collapse. Now you have my idea of a real hero.

I came to realize that life lived to help others is the only one that matters. This is my highest and best use as a human. I can put it another way. Years ago, I realized I could never be as great an actor as Olivier or as good a comic as Steve Martin or Martin Mull or Fred Willard–or as good an economist as Samuelson or Friedman or as good a writer as Fitzgerald. Or even remotely close to any of them.

But, I could be a devoted father to my son, husband to my wife and, above all, a good son to the parents who had done so much for me. This came to be my main task in life. I did it moderately well with my son, pretty well with my wife and well indeed with my parents (with my sister’s help). I cared for and paid attention to them in their declining years. I stayed with my father as he got sick, went into extremis and then into a coma and then entered immortality with my sister and me reading him the Psalms.

This was the only point at which my life touched the lives of the soldiers in Iraq or the firefighters in New York … I came to realize that life lived to help others is the only one that matters and that it is my duty, in return for the lavish life God has devolved upon me, to help others He has placed in my path. This is my highest and best use as a human.

Faith is not believing that God can. It is knowing that God will.

The article below has such good information that I want to share with
you. As you know, I am passionate about eliminating toxins as much
as possible. Toxins render our bodies ability to function properly and
the more we can rid these toxins from our lives, the better our bodies
will function and we will feel so much better, less tired, much more
energetic, better skin, better immune system and total wellness.
Why wouldn’t we want this for ourselves? It is much easier than we
often think to eliminate toxins. Please read below!!!

For years, I thought I could keep my body free of dangerous
chemicals by taking just a couple of simple precautions — using
natural cleansers and buying organic food. Wrong.Biomonitoring tests to check for chemicals in people always find
them. It doesn’t matter whether the people are old, young, newborn
or even fetal, nor what their history is. Contamination is always
found. It is therefore a virtual certainty that if I were to be tested,

I would learn I was contaminated, too. Not to cause panic, but so
would you.

This pollution of our bodies is thought by many scientists to be
universal today. It goes by the name of body burden.

Where do the chemicals come from? They are used in a seemingly
endless array of industrial applications and consumer products,
including baby toys, air freshener, laundry detergent, shampoo,
nail polish, food containers, rugs and furniture, to name a few.

And how do they get into our bodies? Through our food, tap and
bottled water, indoor and outdoor air and many of the things we
touch or put on our skin. Babies get them in the womb from their
mothers. Hence, the phenomenon of infants starting life with
chemicals already in their systems.

Given how ubiquitous chemicals are, the question is not really how
they get into us, but whether there is any way to keep them out. I
will get back to that.

Let’s first talk about whether and how the chemicals might harm us.
The chemical industry predictably claims they are safe. In reality,
next to nothing is known about the vast majority of them. That’s
because our laws allow chemicals to go on the market without prior
safety testing.

But we do know quite a bit about a few chemicals, and what we know
is not reassuring. For instance:

* Phthalates have been linked to problems with reproductive system
development in baby boys and to insulin resistance and obesity in
adult men. They are used in a wide variety of cosmetic products,
such as moisturizers, nail polish and baby powder; cleaning products;
plastic food wraps; and toys, especially those made with PVC plastic.
Other uses include medical equipment and building supplies.

* Bisphenol A (also known as BPA) has been linked to breast and
prostate cancer, reproductive problems, diabetes and alteration of
brain chemistry and behavioral changes. It is used in many household p
products, including plastic baby bottles, hard plastic sports bottles
and metal food cans, which are often lined with plastic to prevent a
metallic taste in food.

* PCBs, which were formerly used as electrical insulators, among
other things, have been found to affect the immune, reproductive,
nervous and endocrine systems. They are also considered a probable
carcinogen. Though their production in the U.S. was banned in 1979,
these long-lasting chemicals continue to circulate in the environment
and in the food chain. New releases also occur when old equipment
made with PCBs is damaged or improperly disposed of.

* Dioxins, a byproduct of the manufacture and burning of chlorine
products, can affect the cardiovascular, respiratory, immune,
reproductive, nervous and endocrine systems and cause cancer.
Other classes of chemicals shown to be toxic include PBDEs (used as
flame retardants) and PFCs (used to repel water, stains and grease).

All the chemicals listed above are endocrine disruptors, meaning that
they interfere with the workings of the endocrine — or hormone –
system. Hormones are our bodies’ chemical messengers. They tell
cells to start or stop carrying out key functions at the proper time.
While key to basic body functioning throughout our lives, they are
particularly important to fetal development. During the nine months
in which a baby takes shape, an exquisitely timed orchestra of these
chemical signals ensures that the baby’s body develops as it should.
Any tampering with the type or timing of the signals can have tragic
consequences, from cancers that emerge later in life to missing body
parts. They can also affect the brain and behavior.

The years directly leading up to puberty, when hormones again play
a major role in body development, may be another time when people
are particularly sensitive to endocrine-disrupting chemicals. So, how
can you protect yourself, your children and your children-to-be?

Unfortunately, moving somewhere remote is not, in itself, an answer. Many
chemicals are highly mobile and resistant to breakdown. Over the last few
decades, they have spread on wind and water currents to every corner of the
globe, including the most pristine places.

However, your personal practices can make a difference in your LEVEL of
exposure, not just to endocrine disruptors but to other toxins that humans are
spewing out into the environment. These steps, in particular, can help:

* Buy organic food as much as possible. If cost is an issue, focus on the produce
that will make the most difference, along with milk if you have young children.

*Eat less meat and meat products, especially fatty meats and butter, as many
toxic chemicals are picked up by animals and stored in their fat (and ours).

* When choosing fish, follow safety guidelines for avoiding mercury
contamination.

* Reduce your use of cosmetics and fragrances and buy less toxic brands.

* Use unscented laundry detergent and cleaning products — or use organic
cleansers.

* Do not use chemical pesticides around your house, on your pets or on your lawn.

At the same time as you take these steps in your own life, keep in mind that the
real solutions to body burden, like other forms of pollution, are societal not
individual. Without government regulation, safety from chemicals is a losing battle.

**Sheryl Eisenberg

Note:

Unsafe at any level. Toxicologists are fond of saying, “the dose makes the poison,”
meaning that toxic substances are only toxic above a certain level. This explains
their method of safety testing, which is to begin at the high end of the dose
spectrum and work their way down until they find a dose that seems safe. But
such thresholds may not exist with endocrine disruptors, which can have effects
at unimaginably small doses, while sometimes having different or no effects at
higher levels.

Environmental health scientists are therefore looking for new testing
methodologies that take these different patterns into account.

The old view was that the “placental barrier” protected the fetus from
contaminants in the mother’s body. Recent research has shown this to be false.
For instance, ten of ten newborns whose umbilical cord blood was tested on
their day of birth as part of the Human Toxome Project were found to be
contaminated with scores of chemicals, including many “linked to brain and
nervous system toxicity, cancer, and birth defects and developmental delays.”

Look for personal care products without the word “fragrance” in the ingredient list
to cut down on your exposure to chemicals. This catchall term can mask the
presence of a slew of toxins. Don’t trust product claims of being unscented, warns
the Environmental Working Group, as fragrances may be used to create the
unscented effect. You actually have to scan the ingredients to confirm that the
word “fragrance” does not appear.

___________________________________________________________

I hope your year is off to a great start! I want to thank all of you that helped make last year so great.

This year is already getting off to a fantastic start. I look forward to helping all of you, your friends, family, and clients, in any way I can, to make 2011 a successful year. Let’s be extra healthy this year with less aches and pains, less excess weight, more energy and all the wonderful things that go with total wellness!

I’m going to start the New Year off with some very important information to help you on your road to great health!

I thought the article below to be important as you should go through all products you own to make sure they are free of parabens, phenoxyethanols, and all harmful ingredients. These are the two ingredients that are very carcinogenic. You should be extremely cautious of everything that you put in and on your bodies. What good are any results if you are at the risk of horrific repercussions from the ingredients you put ON or IN yourself? It is important that I also provide you the necessary education to you and your families so you know how to make the best choices to keep you and your loved ones safe from harmful ingredients. 100% Chemical Free is the Mission you should have for All. Article Below:

Subject: Parabens and Phenoxyethanols found in Breast Cancer
By: Rebecca James Gadberry

Posted: June 25, from Skin Inc. Magazine.

Q. After reading about a British study reporting that parabens in antiperspirants contribute to breast cancer, some of my clients don’t want the substance in their cosmetics. I am looking to you to help clarify this issue for me. Are parabens harmful, or are they safe? Is it true that they have been banned in Europe and Japan?

A . Parabens, which are widely used antimicrobial preservatives for cosmetics, are among the most studied of all cosmetic ingredients and have a long history of safety. Although there is an Internet myth claiming that they have been banned in both Europe and Japan, it is not true. Parabens are allowed for use by every government agency that regulates cosmetics worldwide.

Used since the 1920s in thousands of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, as well as in a few foods, parabens are a family of chemicals known as alkyl esters of p-hydroxybenzoic acid. They have various prefixes that refer to the length of the alkyl ester group that branches off of the acid. These include methyl, ethyl, benzyl, propyl and butyl.

Methylparaben is the shortest chain or smallest molecule of the group, butylparaben is the longest and the others are of various midlengths. Several parabens are found in nature, including methylparaben. This most popular variety is produced by certain MOLD species in order to protect themselves from hostile bacteria. However, to my knowledge, NONE that are used in cosmetics or other commercial products come from natural sources. All of those utilized in cosmetics are derived from PETROLEUM.

Throughout the past decade, Parabens have been recognized as several of the more than 8,000 endocrine disrupters (EDs) in the environment. These chemicals, which behave like animal estrogens, can affect hormone balances adversely or disrupt the normal function of organs that are controlled by hormones. Among the more popular plant EDs are phytoestrogens, which are found in SOY, hops, Angelica sinensis (dong quai), Salvia officianalis, clary sage, red clover, pumpkin, poppy, St. John’s wort, rosehips, yarrow and some seaweeds. They now are believed by many researchers to contribute to the increasing incidences of breast cancer, low sperm count and other estrogen-influenced medical problems in humans, as well as to alter the sexual characteristics of fish, frogs and other species by contaminating fresh water supplies. My advice – Stay away from ALL Parabens and Phenoxyethenols – Both found to be in 98% of All Breast Cancer studies.

Chiropractic therapy is one possible solution that provides Multiple Benefits.

Chiropractic therapy directly addresses nerve system functioning and improves the mechanics of the musculoskeletal system. Frequently the result of such wide spread improved functioning is a reduction in a person’s chronic pain, if it is present. Chronic pain relief is often of great benefit to those living with clinical depression.

The improved and enhanced nerve function provided by chiropractic therapy forms the basis for total wellness and well-being. By focusing on biomechanics, your chiropractor helps your body to begin healing itself across a wide range of systems.

As chronic pain begins to fade and resolve, significant pressures are reduced in your brain and other components of your central nerve system. Associated psychological pressures may also be relieved and chronic depression may be lifted as a result of decreased biomechanical stress and decreased physical pain.

Depression is often thought of as a psychological condition. The causes of depression are often sought in the person’s childhood or in her personal circumstances as an adult. But within the last 10 or 20 years, depression is more frequently being evaluated within a physiological context. Various disease states and physical disorders are being recognized as significant contributors to depression. This viewpoint is empowering to people with depression and often provides a way forward when progress has been minimal or absent.

Those with depression may experience both physical and psychological pain. It is well-documented that chronic physical pain can lead to depression. Also, it is very well-known that depressive states can cause physical pain. A feedback loop (vicious cycle) is frequently created in which physical pain makes a person’s depression worse and the person’s depression makes the physical pain worse.

In addition, changes in brain physiology can cause a person to be depressed. In other words, abnormal electrical activity in the brain – which, of course, is not under the person’s conscious control – may result in depression. The brain’s electrical activity is evaluated by a method known as quantitative EEG (QEEG).1 For those with clinical depression, the QEEG often demonstrates too much slow-wave activity in the left front brain (prefrontal cortex) and too much fast-wave activity in the right prefrontal cortex.

Being a person with chronic clinical depression all of my life, I am personally able to share that for those with clinical depression, the light of the world is considerably dimmed. The mood of a depressed person is low and he loses interest in normally pleasurable activities. Depressive disorders interfere with a person’s work and/or school activities, family life and social life, and overall health. Lack of energy, lack of appetite, and decreased physical activity are all associated with clinical depression. I have experienced all of these symptoms from time to time.

An access to relieving chronic depression may be found in encouraging the person to begin to engage in physical activity.2,3 Such activity may be difficult for those who are severely depressed, and yet all persons with depression should attempt to work with this form of therapy.

Additionally, chiropractic therapy may be of great benefit for those with clinical depression. The pain relief and improved musculoskeletal function afforded by chiropractic therapy may help reduce the physical component of ongoing depression. It definitely has helped me to some extent and I would recommend this therapy for people dealing with ongoing depression.

I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that most diseases/illnesses are associated with inflammation and toxins within our bodies, even depression. I am in line for Alzheimers and Dementia through family genes, but I firmly believe that we should be responsible for our own health and can change those family hand-me-downs. One of the greatest health solutions for inflammation and toxins within our bodies is glutathione. We cannot take glutathione directly because its molecule is too large to enter our cells; also it is destroyed within the digestive system before it can significantly reach the necessary organs of our bodies.

Scientists and doctors have been researching and looking for a way to introduce glutathione into our bodies for a very long time since it is so necessary for total wellness and life itself. Also, glutathione production in our bodies begins to decrease at the age of 20 years old and continues to decrease significantly due to stress, environmental pollutants, cigarette smoke, diet, exercise, chemical toxins, illness and aging. So you should be able to see that it is very important to our total wellness, aging process and life itself.

Fortunately, a renowned doctor and scientist working on the same research for glutathione production in our bodies for the past 25 plus years were able to provide a solution to this much needed glutathione in the body. It was not brought to the pharmaceutical world because so often, they bury significant discoveries in order to retain their bottom line of making money. Instead, this discovery/solution was brought to men who recognize unique, breakthrough products and who had plenty of financial backing to bring this discovery to the world. That product is MaxGXL (1st generation of product) and/or MaxOne (2nd generation of product) and the product supports our body’s structure and function so that the body can perform as it was made to do and heal itself. It allows our body to produce its very own glutathione and recycle it, as well. Nothing else out there can do this. Inflammation and toxins are a thing of the past with glutathione. It is also a mood lifter for depression.

We are born into this world with glutathione and we die without glutathione. A powerful antioxidant, it is called the Master Antioxidant by scientists, it is working hard to keep every cell in your body safe from free radical damage and oxidative stress. Oxidative stress has been associated with more than 74 major diseases and disorders. It is produced naturally in our cells if the required building blocks are available. Among its many functions, it strengthens the immune system, detoxifies the body, fights intracellular inflammation, and neutralizes numerous types of free radicals. Do not be without this greatest discovery for total wellness in our lifetime.

Although we cannot cure or treat any disease or illness, we can and do say that this glutathione accelerator product does support the structure and functions in the body. Therefore, the body can then heal itself, which it was created to be able to do. When we load it with so much chemical toxins, pollutants, stress, illness/disease, in addition to the aging process, the body is so burdened that it can no longer do what it was created to be able to do with the power it used to have. Thus, that is why this glutathione accelerator product is so important for total wellness, aging and life inself.

You’ve been told that glutathione increases energy on a cellular level. How does it do this? Since glutathione is not the actual fuel for the “engines” or “energy factories” of our cells, what part does it play in the creation of cellular energy? These are questions we would all like answers to, but not if they make us feel like we’re back in Chemistry 101! Hopefully, what you read below will provide a nontechnical explanation for these questions.

The Tiger in Your Tank Is Called ATP. It’s obvious that all cells must produce energy to survive. We know that the “gasoline” or “electricity” that powers our cells is called ATP (adenosine triphosphate). If your car runs out of gas, it can sit for a while until you replenish the supply. Not so with our cellular fuel. Our cells simply cannot survive unless they have a continual, sufficient supply of “cellular gasoline” or ATP. So the process of creating fuel in each and every cell must go on constantly. A single cell may have a couple of hundred energy factories or cellular power plants called mitochondria or it may contain thousands of them. Your hard-working heart cells have been estimated to have 5,000 mitochondria each1! The complex process of turning nutrients into ATP in the mitochondria depends on many oxidation and reduction reactions.

Redox is the shorthand term for the chemical reaction where atoms are changed by either losing elections (oxidation) or gaining electrons (reduction).

The Process
Understanding the exact process of ATP creation didn’t happen until 1937. Hans A. Krebs finally figured out a metabolic pathway in the cells that explained how energy is created. There were many scientists who played a key role in understanding how this pathway worked, but because Krebs had the insight that the pathway was a cycle, the process was named for him and is usually called the Krebs cycle. You will also read of it as the “citric acid cycle” or the tricarboxylic acid cycle (TCA) or occasionally, the Szent- Györgyi-Krebs cycle (adding the name of the scientist who mapped out many of the molecules and the sequence of reactions of the Krebs cycle). Since we are not doing Chemistry 101, describing this process could be as simple as saying it’s a metabolic dance of electrons being transported and transferred, through complex processes of reduction and oxidation. Remember that transferring (or grabbing!) electrons is also what starts the cycle of free radical damage.

The Role of Glutathione
Oxidation is like a flame, wonderful when harnessed, dangerous when out of control. When we are young, the oxidation necessary for energy production is highly efficient with only a small amount of oxygen not
utilized. Even this minor oxygen loss (1-3%) unfortunately results in the production of free radicals. And this is where glutathione comes in to neutralize those free radicals. A one-to-three percent oxygen loss causing free-radical production doesn’t sound too bad, does it? But say you are no longer 20 years of age and correspondingly, your cellular mitochondria are not as efficient as they once were. More and more free radicals are generated in the oxidative energy process and they are, in turn, damaging the mitochondria themselves. The powerful antioxidant, glutathione, quenches a number of free radicals, including the highly dangerous hydroxyl radical by donating an electron. Glutathione itself does not become a free radical even though it has given up an electron.

No wonder it is called the Master Antioxidant!
Now that it is quenched, the extremely harmful hydroxyl radical is halted from its real dirty work: generating other free radicals like peroxynitrite and the radicals of oxidized fats (lipids). Glutathione has just halted a literal cascade of free radicals by quenching the hydroxyl free radical. But you need to know just what a favor glutathione has done for you in preventing peroxynitrite production.

Peroxynitrite is truly pernicious!
Martin L. Pall, PhD, professor of Biochemistry and Basic Medical Science at Washington State University stated: “Peroxynitrite reacts with and inactivates several of the enzymes in mitochondria so that mitochondrial and energy metabolism dysfunction is one of the most important consequences of elevated
peroxynitrite.”2

Translation: When the mitochondria have suffered enough free radical damage as to become dysfunctional,
energy production is impaired. Your cells do not get the amount of energy they need to function properly. Your cells may function at a level below the optimum although you probably won’t feel it. There is yet one more free-radical mitochondrial consequence as a result of low glutathione levels that you “will” be aware of. Richard Van Konynenburg, PhD, wrote: “The resulting partial blockades in the Krebs cycles and the
respiratory chains in the red, slow-twitch skeletal muscle cells decrease their rate of production of ATP. Since ATP is what powers muscle contractions, the lack of it produces physical fatigue. It becomes chronic because GSH [glutathione] remains depleted.”3 You might think of free radicals as a band of marauders circling an oil tanker, preparing to hijack the precious commodity that fuels cars and trains and pretty much the entire Western world. Glutathione molecules could be considered a group of highly efficient bodyguards — handing out electrons and turning vicious marauders into mild-mannered bystanders.

Glutathione Praise from Dr. Keller
As you understand this intricate energy creation process, perhaps you will appreciate more a statement by the creator of MaxGXL, Dr. Robert H. Keller. Dr. Keller said that glutathione is “critical to cell functions such as the TCA (Kreb) cycle and then the respiratory chain that uses 4 molecules of ATP to generate 32 molecules of ATP.”

Is it vital for you to have those glutathione bodyguards on energy duty? Van Konynenburg certainly thinks so as he wrote, “GSH [glutathione] plays very important roles in maintaining mitochondrial function and integrity.”4 Perhaps it’s enough to remember that glutathione is there to assure that the creation of cellular energy is not hampered by free radical damage. While this is not by any means the only role glutathione plays in keeping your body running smoothly, it is a vitally important role. Now you have one more reason to appreciate Dr. Keller’s marvelous, patented product!

Be certain to get sufficient vitamins everyday so it is possible to perform at your peak level. It’s critical to make physical exercise a habit, but we must not overlook the 2nd element of total wellness, and this is getting sufficient vitamins and minerals in our entire body through the foods we eat and also the products we take. Obtaining the nutrients your body needs for optimal performance and total wellness is an increasingly difficult challenge. Soils are depleted of vital trace elements; factory farming practices and over processing further reduce the nutrients available from food. Vitamin and mineral supplements have long been the solution but they are not always absorbed. If you feel like half of your ‘cylinders’ are not firing, help is on the way! Max N-Fuze® is all about effectively delivering the nutrients you need for total wellness.

It’s significant to provide your system lots of antioxidants because much of the muscle pain and inflammation after intense exercise results from out-of-control free radical damage. The Bad News … Your glutathione levels are FALLING, by about 10% to 15% per decade!
Reduced glutathione levels result in accelerated aging, low energy, higher inflammation, and a greater vulnerability to cell damage and disease.

The Good News … MaxGXL® can dramatically raise your glutathione levels, with increases up to 292%.

Too good to be true… See the double blind clinical trial for yourself. CLICK HERE FOR CLINICAL STUDY

We also have to make sure we get ample vitamins, minerals, protein, fiber, along with other nutrients our entire body needs from eating lots of organic fruits, veggies and nuts, and taking LIVE whole food dietary supplements, as opposed to synthetically created dietary supplements that our bodies do not even know how to use correctly.

Please have a wonderful week. If you’re prepared to commit to total wellness and need to have some guidance and coaching in the process, let me know. I’d be happy to assist you.

Environmental causes of disease.

One of the primary perpetrators? Pesticides. Pesticides are continuously used in today’s farming methods. With the thousands of pesticides in use today, it’s easy to think there’s nothing you can do to safeguard yourself. But a study conducted at Emory University in 2008 paints a much more positive picture.

Researchers recruited Seattle-area school children for a year-long study.1 The study looked at the role of dietary produce in pesticide exposure. When the study began, the children were eating traditionally grown fruits and vegetables. Based on urine samples, all the children had considerable levels of one type of pesticide, organophosphorus pesticides (OP). Researchers chose to look at OPs because they’re so extensively used today.

During the course of the experiment, the children were given organic produce for one to two weeks instead. After eating organic instead of conventional produce for just five days, the results were spectacular. There were no detectible residues in the children’s urine. When they changed back to conventional produce, OP levels rose again. The switch was repeated several times during the year. The results were consistent; after just a few days of consuming organic instead of traditional fruits and vegetables, pesticide levels were no longer detectable.

The primary ingredient in Simple Green is 2-butoxyethanol, a possible human carcinogen specifically prohibited in certified green products. When used at full strength, this product released 93 air contaminants, the second highest number released by any product tested.

The ” Simple-Green” is not so simple after all. I hope this doesn’t surprise anyone because it was published a while back that most of the so called “green-products” were not really green.

How embarrassing does it get?

I am disgusted! This information is from Environmental Working group. Be sure and read the whole thing… read what they say about the product at the bottom of the post or better yet… go to the website at http://www.ewg.org/schoolcleaningsupplies/cleaningsuppliesoverview?id=209

Consumers like you have the right to know what’s in your cleaning supplies. As little as $5 can help EWG continue important research just like this.

And that was just one supposedly “green” product. I haven’t even touched on all the traditional cleaners out there that are NOT considered “green”. There are health solutions to better, safer products than the so called “traditional” types of household cleaners.
______________________________________________________________
One thing is apparent. We just are not aware enough concerning the health problems of the countless amounts of chemicals in extensive use today. Here’s why:

Over 80,000 artificial chemicals are approved to be used in the united states. Items include pesticides, fertilizers, plastics, paints, coatings, fire retardants, and also oil dispersants (Gulf oil spill, anyone?).

Just a few hundred of the 80,000 chemicals are actually tested for safety.

Numerous chemicals used today are known and suspected carcinogens. Carcinogen means cancer causing.

Even with this identified poisoning, the vast majority of chemicals remain unregulated.

Chemicals generally are studied for safety individually. This tells us nothing at all about the harm to health that may result from being exposed to multiple chemicals at once.

Additionally, single chemical testing doesn’t represent reality. All of us are exposed to dozens, and even hundreds, of chemicals at a time.

What little regulating oversight that does exist for these chemicals uses the platform that chemicals are safe unless proven otherwise. This is one time when “innocent until proven guilty” is not a wise strategy.

Exposure to chemicals while pregnant and childhood is extremely damaging to health.

Unfortunately, over 300 chemicals is found in the umbilical cord blood of newborn babies. We are all “pre-contaminated.”

Simple measures, Big Payoff

Hence the cat is out of the bag. We are all subjected to countless potentially toxic chemicals from the day we are conceived to the day we die. There is some good news in this otherwise grim picture. Based on the PCP report1, several simple, but effective measures can significantly reduce our contact with synthetic chemicals along with other environmental hazards.

Whenever possible, eat foods grown without fertilizers, pesticides, and growth hormones the vast majority of time.

Store drinking water in stainless steel or bisphenol-A (BPA) free containers.

Microwave foods only in ceramic or glass containers, not plastic. Do not put very hot foods into plastic containers.

Choose foods, home and garden products, and toys in a way that minimizes your child’s exposure to potentially toxic substances.

Filter your drinking water. Use bottled water only if tap water is known to be contaminated with substances or microbes that are not filtered out.

Avoid secondhand tobacco smoke in the home, car, restaurants, bars, stores, and other public places.

Avoid exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals and known or suspected carcinogens when planning to get pregnant and throughout pregnancy. This includes BPA, a known endocrine disruptor.

Properly get rid of household chemicals, paints, cleaning supplies and other materials.

Make informed decisions about products you purchase and use. Visit Household Products Database , a service of the National Institutes of Health, and the Environmental Working Group’s Health and Toxics Database . These resources offer an abundance of information to assist you to make healthier choices in your every day life.

When a job exposes you to chemicals, remove shoes before entering your house. Wash your work clothes separately from the family’s regular laundry to minimize kids’ exposure.

Check radon levels in the home. Radon is a naturally occurring, colorless, odorless gas that can accumulate in confined spaces, such as basements. Exposure to radon is the leading cause of lung cancer-related deaths in non-smokers.

Make certain your health care provider keeps accurate records of medical tests that may result in harmful exposures, such as radiation from x-rays or scans. If these records aren’t being kept, keep them yourself. With this information, you can make better decisions about the benefits and risks of medical tests.

Wear a headset when using a cell phone, text instead of calling, and keep calls brief.

Avoid ultraviolet light by applying sunscreen and proper sun-protective clothing. Never use tanning beds.

Conflict Dispute

Despite what appears a slam dunk on environmental hazards and cancer, this report is not without dispute. Michael Thun, MD, a respected physician and epidemiologist with the American Cancer Society points out that there is no doubt that environmental pollution is of profound importance to human health and the health of the planet. But he fears that the report may minimize the focus on other known, modifiable causes of cancer that currently offer the best opportunity for cancer prevention.2

The scientific evidence most solidly supports the major causes of cancer as being tobacco use, obesity, alcohol, infections, hormones, and sunlight. According to Thun, the report implies that pollutants are the major cause of cancer, but this is far from a settled issue.2

Go that one step further

The best approach is to hedge your bets in all areas of cancer and other disease prevention. It makes sense to take the precautions (detailed above) presented by the PCP. But it also makes a whole lot of sense to tackle the things we can control in our daily lives.

There is no doubt that obesity is a leading cause of cancer and other chronic diseases in this country. Make your body a priority and make sure you’re not among the two-thirds of Americans who are overweight and obese. Exercising regularly is another known cancer prevention technique, so lace up those sneakers and get moving. Always avoid tobacco in any form.

And don’t forget about food. Simply put, the right foods can be used to your advantage to “cancer-proof” and disease-proof your lifestyle. Plant foods are your ticket to detoxifying from a toxic lifestyle. By plant foods I mean the vegetables, fruit, whole grains, beans, peas, nuts and seeds free from toxins/pesticides. From antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, to the nutrients known to aid with detoxification, plant foods are a must.

I have had and continue to have great experiences with wellness. Wellness is a passion of mine and I pursue it with great enthusiasm.

But I have to admit that there is so much we need to be aware of in order to gain overall wellness in body, mind and spirit. Awareness about positive thoughts vs negative thoughts are dynamite. It is an area that I must work and be more aware of on a daily basis. I was visiting my sister recently and she was so excited to tell me about a “water” analysis by an expert showing how “good” vs “bad” thoughts can change water dramatically and significantly. I had heard about this before and seen pictures but it was again amazing to be reminded that our bodies are made up of over 70% of water. Thus, “positive” thoughts can and do significantly change our bodies at the water levels. Whew…..what a dramatic and magnificent difference we can make to our WELLNESS at this level.

Another huge area in the body/mind/spirit realm is toxins in the forms of pollution, household chemical cleaners, pesticides, medicinal toxins from prescriptions, high metal toxicity, etc., etc. I firmly believe that we must be vigilant in this area and constantly help our body rid itself of these horrific toxins on a constant basis. I personally do quite a bit on a daily basis in this area, taking a science-based product with double blind, placebo-controlled, crossover clinical studies proven to eliminate toxins from the body in a natural way. I utilize a glutathione accelerator (not glutathione supplement) in order for my body to be able to manufacture its own glutathione at the cellular level in every cell in my body. You can google glutathione to learn how critical this nutritent is in our body and critically significant to our wellness being. It is so vital that you are dead without it; life cannot happen without it. You are born with it but it starts declining at the age of 20 in our bodies and very quickly decreases to the point where our bodies are no longer able to function the way they were designed to. Putting glutathione levels back into our body cells helps with greater well being and slows down the aging process.

I also utilize a whole, live foods supplement that is processed in such a way as to keep excessive heat out of the manufacturing so that the nutrients are preserved. It is an amazing product with organic fruit blends, vegetable blends, probiotic blends, enzyme blends, etc. and I know without a doubt that I am receiving what my body/mind/spirit needs on a daily basis.

I am on a constant spiritual journey because I believe that if I do not continue to learn and be open to learning….then I might as well not be in this life. Life is a journey. And if we pay attention to our wellness at the body/mind/spirit levels, then we will be more at peace with joy in our life.

What are your thoughts on Wellness and what do you do for yourself in this area?

Warmly,
Do you wonder how that is possible, or would you simply ignore it? Please read on. How it could be, as reported by many health experts, is that

your glutathione levels are too low.

This is a very common situation with all the oxidation stress our toxic environment provides, along with a little assistance from our very own personal stress.

What makes Antioxidants Necessary?

Oxidation occurs at the cellular level during the body`s efforts to create energy and fortify cells metabolizing oxygen. The oxygen molecules that aren’t fully absorbed become toxins, unstable atoms missing an electron, which begin robbing cells of electrons to balance and stabilize themselves. Then the atoms robbed of the electron become poisons and continue the oxidation process, stealing electrons as required from other sources.

A sequence of events then occurs. This changes the identity and function of those atoms as they combine in abnormal ways, ultimately causing cellular and DNA damage. And eventually, countless medical concerns and disease will breed freely. It is the negative effects of oxygen, similar to the way metal becomes rusty with exposure to air. We must continue to breathe, so you’ll encounter some free radicals shed from just that.

Moreover, the air we breathe is loaded with toxins and pollutants, as well as in the majority of the foods we eat, and any pharmaceuticals that may have been taken. Every one of these create more free radicals while stressing the body with poisonous matter. Add this to the immune system`s damage from psychological stress with our current lifestyle and the craziness around us. Well then, it truly is amazing that so many of us still remain ambulating and communicating!

But we need so much protection from all this in order to move and converse better and longer and stay away from hospitals meanwhile. So whatever can neutralize the free radical oxidation process while eradicating toxins is critical. Enter antioxidants, comprising the most overlooked yet most critical one of them all: glutathione, the main element to maximum oxidation protection and detoxification while building a strong immune system.

Several Glutathione Details

Glutathione has been labeled as the master antioxidant. It is an intracellular antioxidant essential for greatest antioxidant activity from all other antioxidants, including vitamin C, vitamin E, CoQ10, and all the blueberries you can eat. It removes toxins from cells, and protects against radiation.

There is however a problem. Purchasing something that says it is glutathione is a waste of supplement popping money. The body`s digestive system is quite poor at taking glutathione into where it needs to go. There is hope, there are other solutions to raise the body`s glutathione, which are disclosed later herein.

It is the body`s intracellular function to produce glutathione in the liver and body cells from three amino acids, cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycene. Sufficient amounts are needed to catalyze and retain all the antioxidant`s you consume for your protection. It even serves as protection to prevent antioxidants from becoming free radicals (poisons) themselves, regenerating and recycling them. As you get older, your body`s ability to produce glutathione slows down.

Many now consider reduced glutathione production as the real cause of rapid aging and ailments that are considered “normal” from aging, including Alzheimer`s, inflammatory conditions from allergy to arthritis, asthma, COPD, Parkinson`s Disease, and coronary and autoimmune diseases. DNA damage resulting from toxins frequently leads to cancer. This is a standard scheme that goes askew as we age. If one can enhance internal glutathione production, the energized immune system will create a strong basis of good health, regardless of age.

Glutathione in our bodies can go inactive when it becomes saturated from doing it`s work, but it tends to replenish itself. Under ideal environmental conditions, 10% of the glutathione remains inactive, or oxidized, while the other 90% is active, or reduced, and continues to stabilize cell molecules and other antioxidants, plus remove toxins. This is the function of normal metabolism`s waste removal of poisons by glutathione. But the battering of additional toxins from our environment is too much to maintain that 90/10 ratio.

As active glutathione drops below 90% and allows the inactive to grow beyond 10%, the fight for the best possible total wellness becomes a losing struggle. It becomes too complex to remove toxins naturally. As they build up, active glutathione lessens even more. Active or reduced glutathione is also known as GSH, while inactive or oxidized glutathione is known as GSSG. When GSH falls below 70%, one`s health begins serious declining. It`s a major time of trouble.

How to Enhance GSH

Since supplements labeled glutathione are virtually worthlessbecause the digestive system won`t take it in, what distribution systems can enhance the body`s ability to create and maintain the proper level of GSH? Well, intravenous glutathione will have immediate results for extreme situations, but cannot contribute to the cycle of circulating GSH. Plus, it is extremely expensive. It`s like recharging a car battery with a broken alternator. The instant the battery empties, the car quits running.

For continual, permanent protection, it`s necessary to utilize precursors that energize the cells to create their own GSH glutathione, as required internally, via the liver and body cells. So it`s important to supply the body GSH precursors. Of the three amino acids that generate GSH (active glutathione) in the liver and cells, cysteine is considered the most critical link. It has been identified that cysteine, balanced properly with glutamic acid and glycene, stimulates GSH production.

S-Adenosylmethionine (SAM-e), N-acetylcysteine (NAC), and supplements made from unadulterated, whey protein elevate cysteine levels. Whey protein products that specialize in boosting the liver`s GSH production have become the easiest and most common choice. Whey is a by product of cheese or yogurt processing. Unadulterated means the whey comes with no additives or preservatives. Additionally, the milk sources are non-hormone injected organic fed cows or goats. There are a small number of whey protein products that promote GSH production with cysteine. However, the glutathione levels are not significantly increased and are not recycled.

But finally, there is a nutritional supplement that does provide the necessary precursors to the cells to produce their own GSH glutathione, internally, via all body cells. Because of the research and breakthrough discovery of glutathione’s importance to total wellness, Dr. Robert Keller, having spent many, many years perfecting a glutathione accelerator, formulated and introduced MaxGXL, which

allows the body to manufacture its very own cellular glutathione and improves your overall total wellness of your body.

On average, the increased level of glutathione is 200%. This one and only breakthrough total wellness product is science-based, with double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover clinical studies and has a composition patent (typically reserved for only pharmaceutical products). You can’t get better than this and it is the only proven product that raises your glutathione levels significantly. You can learn more about this important, vital nutritional supplement at http://www.connielclark.com and become focused on your very own total wellness regimen.

In addition to the supplementation you end up using, or instead of using a supplement, here are some foods that are useful toward the GSH, glutathione circulating process. It is important to consume organic foods as the toxins added to conventional foods minimize the GSH levels. Unfortunately, you need to eat so much of these foods that it is literally impossible to do so to significantly raise your levels of glutathione. But these foods certainly are beneficial to your total wellness.

All meats are high in cysteine, but unless you can go truly organic, the hormones and toxins will virtually neutralize GSH. Watermelon, walnuts, avocado, asparagus, broccoli, and tomato are good choices for glutathione enhancement, as are many dark green leafy vegetables. Ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, wheat germ and oat flakes fill out this list.

The investigation and finding of glutathione`s importance, and the process to manufacture it within the body for proper distribution is relatively recent. GSH glutathione`s importance as an essential antioxidant is indisputable. The health implications for just this one single agent, internally promoted by proper precursors, are thorough and all-encompassing.
