Frequently used sweetener – one you consume every day – could be extremely damaging to your health. One should always strive for total wellness!

It replaced sugar in many products back in the 1970s. And WHY? Because it was cheaper, of course. In 1977, sugar tariffs and quotas were imposed in system. And, the price of corn was kept low through government subsidies. United States food manufacturers refused to pay the higher sugar costs, so, they switched from sugar to a corn-based alternative. It saved them billions in cost.

They did NOT consider the health of the consumers, as is frequently the case. The FDA does NOT consider total wellness for the consumer.

And thus, the time of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) had begun. Consumption of high fructose corn syrup increased by 1,000% from then to the present time. Now, we must make an effort to avoid HFCS as much as we possibly can.

Past studies indicated a major link of HFCS to obesity and diabetes. New research links HFCS to something even worse – a deadly form of cancer (pancreatic). No total wellness here!!!

Why does the FDA let this continue to happen? How can they support Big Corn instead of the public? Here’s the real truth of WHY.

Why High Fructose Corn Syrup Is Bad

Dr. Anthony Heaney published a study revealing new information about high fructose corn syrup. Dr. Heaney is an Associate Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He’s written many articles for peer-reviewed publications, including the Journal of Clinical Investigation, Nature Medicine, Clinical Endocrinology, and Pituitary. He is also a reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Investigation, Cancer Research, and the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism.

His study, published in Cancer Research, focused on pancreatic cancer, which is one of the very worst cancers.

The formulation of high fructose corn syrup is a combination of fructose and glucose. These two sugars have long been considered interchangeable… but that may not be the case. Dr. Heaney found that pancreatic cancer cells metabolized them differently. The cells used fructose to generate nucleic acids – building blocks of RNA and DNA – which cancer cells need to divide and grow.

Dr. Heaney believes his findings “have major significance for cancer patients, given dietary refined fructose consumption.” In fact, he feels so strongly about the need to reduce fructose intake that he believes the federal government should intervene.

Dr. Andrew Weil is in agreement that “high fructose corn syrup is definitely bad for you.” Dr. Weil holds degrees in biology and medicine from Harvard University. He has an international reputation as an expert on alternative medicine, mind-body interactions, and medical botany.

“Eliminating high fructose corn syrup from your diet can have many health benefits,” says Dr. Weil. “[Dr. Heaney's] UCLA study suggests that prevention of pancreatic cancer – and possibly other malignancies – may be one of them.” We need to take back control of our total wellness!!!

Meanwhile, the FDA does absolutely nothing to protect you. In actuality, it works in opposition to total wellness…

Big Corn…

Big Corn’s position is that high fructose corn syrup is “natural.” In the words of Audrae Erickson, president of the Corn Refiners Association (CRA), “high fructose corn syrup, like table sugar and honey, is natural. It is made from corn, a natural grain product.”

In a letter to the CRA, the FDA gave Big Corn the go-ahead to label high fructose corn syrup “natural.” Despite the fact that it contains a synthetic mixing agent.

Does that sound natural to you? NOT!!!

But according to the FDA, it’s natural as long as the synthetic agent doesn’t touch the corn starch. Talk about stretching the truth.

Geraldine June is the supervisor of product evaluation and labeling at the FDA’s Office of Nutrition, Labeling, and Dietary Supplements. Responding to an inquiry about the decision, she said:

“However, we would object to the use of the term ‘natural’ on a product containing HFCS that has a synthetic substance such as a synthetic fixing agent included in or added to it.”

Needless to say, Big Corn was thrilled with the FDA decision.

But, here’s the repercussion…

That decision led other companies to stretch the definition of “all natural.” Cadbury Schweppes (whose U.S. beverage unit is now Dr Pepper Snapple Group) and Kraft also made the claim for their 7Up and Capri Sun labels.

How did they get away with it? Both drinks have high fructose corn syrup as an ingredient, which the companies decided makes the drinks natural. They didn’t get away with it for long. Both faced lawsuits. They avoided legal action by quickly changing their labels.

Something stinks, big time…

Meanwhile, the FDA’s decision started to get a lot of bad press. Fighting back, the CRA launched a series of television ads, which presented HFCS as being natural, nutritionally the same as sugar, and with the same number of calories. But consumers are becoming more and more skeptical. The CRA had to quickly find another solution.

So on September 14, 2010, they applied for a name change. They requested to rename high fructose corn syrup “corn sugar” on U.S. food labels.

What was the reason they gave for doing it?

“Consumers need to know what is in their foods and where their foods come from and we want to be clear with them,” said the CRA’s Audrae Erickson. Well, that’s one explanation. But, it is more likely that the HFCS backlash had become so important that they were trying to get rid of the name.

High Fructose Killing Syrup

You see, Dr. Heaney’s findings aren’t the only bad news about high fructose corn syrup…

Studies have also connected it to obesity, heart disease, and diabetes. One of those studies is from Princeton University where researchers found that high fructose corn syrup encourages considerable weight gain. Bart Hoebel, a psychology professor who specializes in the neuroscience of appetite, weight, and sugar addiction, was on the research team.

“Some people have claimed that high-fructose corn syrup is no different than other sweeteners when it comes to weight gain and obesity, but our results make it clear that this just isn’t true, at least under the conditions of our tests,” says Hoebel.

High fructose corn syrup consumption is completely out of control in this country. The government even targeted high fructose corn syrup to help foot the bill. Remember when President Obama was trying to pass that $950 billion health care plan? It needed some significant funding. The government considered imposing federal taxes on sugary drinks. A tax of three cents per 12-ounce serving would generate $24 billion over four years. That’s how much of this stuff Americans drink.

The FDA is at the core of the problem. The same agency that promises to protect consumers is doing the opposite which their decision on high fructose corn syrup shows support for obesity, diabetes, and pancreatic cancer. You are encouraged to forget about total wellness in your life!

How to Avoid HFCS

The average American consumes 41.5 pounds of high fructose corn syrup per year. Most people don’t even realize they’re doing it. You may be surprised to learn that high fructose corn syrup can be found in the following products:

Baked goods

Tomato sauces

Soft drinks

Cereals

Fruit drinks

Processed foods

Salad dressings

Ketchup

Yogurt

Cough syrups

And that’s just the start.

If a dangerous compound like high fructose corn syrup is so ubiquitous, how are you able to protect your own health? How can you lessen your chances of getting the types of cancer that result from high fructose corn syrup intake? Here are some solutions:

Read the label – You expect to find high fructose corn syrup in sweets. But lots of other foods contain high fructose corn syrup too, including bread and processed meats.

“Natural” doesn’t always mean natural – Look for foods labeled “organic.” That assures you they’re free of high fructose corn syrup.

Avoid fast food – It often contains high fructose corn syrup (not to mention hosts of other health-harming ingredients).

Careful with cans and bottles – Almost every sweet drink contains high fructose corn syrup. So always check beverage labels for high fructose corn syrup or hidden sugars.

Buy fresh ingredients and cook – That way, you know exactly what you’re eating.

The revolution has begun. Big Corn is feeling the pain. The FDA is beginning to feel exposed. Consumers are taking back control over their food and their health.

So, be sure to watch labels, consider only Organic foods, do more eating of raw fruits or slightly steamed vegetables and help be part of the solution to the High Fructose Corn Syrup problems. I have begun to notice that some manufacturers are eliminating high fructose corn syrup…but be careful…they may have simply changed the label name to corn sugar! Use products with Stevia (natural herb) used for thousands of years! Or Honey! Take back your control and don’t let the FDA cause you major problems with your health! Become involved in Total Wellness for yourself!

Warmly,

I’ve been reading up on coffee and caffeine. It is quite interesting since caffeine is not perceived as a healthy supplement. Coffee is typically avoided as a health issue, such as pregnant women should not ingest coffee because it can affect fetal heart development. I learned quite a lot from Dr. Mercola on this subject.

There appears to be instances where coffee may be of therapeutic benefit to aid in total wellness.

Coffee Quality is Key

When it comes to the whole food, in this case of the coffee bean as opposed to the isolated caffeine, the converse is oftentimes true.

Most coffee produced today is heavily contaminated with pesticides. It’s actually one of the most heavily sprayed crops grown. So, when speaking of coffee here, make sure that you are using organic, pesticide-free coffee. With a quality coffee bean, you get nutrients and flavonoid antioxidants.

As an organic food in the United States, the crop must have been grown using at least 95 percent organic fertilizers and without the use of chemical pesticides for at least three consecutive years and the beans may not be irradiated.

Always look for the USDA 100% Organic seal. If you have trouble finding organic coffee in your local grocery store, check online, as there are many organic coffees available. Coffee should be taken black, without sugar (or use Stevia instead). Otherwise, you could be overspiking your insulin and causing insulin resistance.

There are some reasons why coffee has gotten such a bad rap.

Risks of Caffeine

Most coffee available today is rancid and packed from ground beans that will be stale in a week. The rate of rancidity increases heavily once you grind the beans. A lot of the bagged coffee you find in your grocery store is an already degraded product with rancid oils inside.

For total wellness, in order to provide you with healthful nutritional co-factors, you would want to grind the coffee beans of your choice fresh, making sure they are organic and pesticide free.

If too much caffeine is being chronically absorbed, there is a high likelihood that it could cause glutamate toxicity and related damage in certain areas of your brain.

Acidity from Coffee—Is that Good or Bad?

Another reason why coffee has a bad reputation is because it’s an acid forming substance. But some acid forming foods are essential to your health. They provide benefits that should not be overlooked. However, Acidity is a major problem. Anything that chronically acidifies your body can cause metabolic acidosis, a condition which is extremely unhealthy to say the least.

When your body becomes overly acidic, due to an acid forming diet, you set yourself up to a total metabolic shutdown. Over acidification of your body wastes your muscle and bone tissues, and as the level of acid rises, cellular congestion occurs along with increased vulnerability to degenerative disease. Basically, when your body is acid, you’re falling apart… So there was good reason to believe that all acid foods may cause metabolic disorders and disease including cancer. The two things that cancer thrive on are acid and sugar. So you should avoid having too much acid and certainly avoid sugar. Logically… But in real life, not all acid foods are bad…

In fact, some of the most beneficial foods are acid forming. These include protein foods and plant based antioxidants such as alagic acid, garlic acid, fulvic acid and humeric acid all of which are highly beneficial to your health.

So what should you do? For total wellness, first of all, eat whole foods and do not ever eat protein isolate… protein isolate doesn’t have the alkalizing mineral co-factors that are needed to balance the acidity of the protein. This means that you should stay away from all whey isolate, hemp isolate, or soy isolate. These are extremely acidifying. If you keep using them in large amounts unbalanced by alkalizing foods, you risk metabolic acidosis.

Virtually all plant foods are alkalizing, besides glutenous grains and some nuts and seeds… If you support high protein intake with a high intake of fruits and vegetables and good selection of nuts like raw unpasteurized almonds for instance, you cannot go wrong. You must balance acidic and alkalizing within the body for total wellness.

The same rule actually applies to coffee! Another great way to balance the acidity in our bodies is to use alkalized water. I personally use a Kangen Water machine to alkalize my water for drinking and it majorly helps to decrease the acidity of the body and promote much better health. You can contact me if you are interested in finding out more about Kangen Water!

If you drink coffee, just make sure your intake of raw fruits or vegetables is high enough. Essentially, a good diet is a balanced diet that includes all the major building blocks—fats, proteins and carbs—acidic and alkalizing foods must be balanced! Using Kangen Water in making your coffee is another way to lower the acidity in your body!

What Makes Caffeine Healthy?

Natural sources of caffeine include tea, coffee, and chocolate. These whole caffeinated foods are highly beneficial. Every time you get naturally occurring caffeine, such as in cocoa beans, coffee or tea, you get it from a nutritionally dense healthy whole food. And note that when you use the same food in a decaffeinated form such as decaffeinated coffee, or decaffeinated tea, you ingest ”nutritionally deficient inferior foods.

A tea without caffeine is useless. It loses all the antioxidant bioflavonoids in the processing. Same with decaffeinated coffee…it has zero nutritional value. Research has shown that both whole cocoa beans and coffee have remarkable neuroprotective properties. There is emerging evidence that South American societies who drink freshly ground coffee from whole coffee beans have the lowest rates of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. That’s definitely something I’m interested in because Alzheimer’s and Dementia run in my family.

***Can Coffee stop aging?*** There is a new school of research that argues that the body is much smarter than previously thought…and it has the capacity to literally stop aging. The body has a mechanism that can actually destroy damaged, sick or cancerous cells along with weak or damaged muscle fibers. These are then digested and recycled back into the tissues. BDNF (Neuro-factor) turns on the mechanism that activates stem cells to rebuild the tissue. This mechanism is real. It’s just that it stays dormant for most people… you need to know how to activate it.

***Coffee activates this rejuvenation mechanism in your brain. You will keep your brain young by activating neuro-factors that regenerate neurons and recycle your brain tissue.”

Other Benefits of Coffee

Coffee increases your metabolism by up to 20 percent.

Again, make sure you use whole, fresh, organic coffee and take it balck without sugar (or use Stevia).

So, all in all, it appears coffee may have some valuable benefits, particularly to boost the benefits for your health, as long as you get high quality organic coffee, ground your own beans to make sure it’s fresh, and avoid adding sugar.

If you use a “drip” coffee maker, be sure to use non-bleached filters. The bright white ones, which most people use, are chlorine bleached and some of this chlorine will be extracted from the filter during the brewing process and they are also full of dangerous disinfection by products like dioxin.

Also be careful about the container you use. You will want to avoid plastic cups as the BPA from the plastic will migrate into your blood . You also want to avoid the use of Styrofoam cups as that will leach polystyrene molecules. Your best bets include glass and ceramic travel mugs.

Happy new year!

I hope your year is off to a great start! I want to thank all of you that helped make last year so great.

This year is already getting off to a fantastic start. I look forward to helping all of you, your friends, family, and clients, in any way I can, to make 2011 a successful year. Let’s be extra healthy this year with less aches and pains, less excess weight, more energy and all the wonderful things that go with total wellness!

I’m going to start the New Year off with some very important information to help you on your road to great health!

I thought the article below to be important as you should go through all products you own to make sure they are free of parabens, phenoxyethanols, and all harmful ingredients. These are the two ingredients that are very carcinogenic. You should be extremely cautious of everything that you put in and on your bodies. What good are any results if you are at the risk of horrific repercussions from the ingredients you put ON or IN yourself? It is important that I also provide you the necessary education to you and your families so you know how to make the best choices to keep you and your loved ones safe from harmful ingredients. 100% Chemical Free is the Mission you should have for All. Article Below:

Subject: Parabens and Phenoxyethanols found in Breast Cancer
By: Rebecca James Gadberry

Posted: June 25, from Skin Inc. Magazine.

Q. After reading about a British study reporting that parabens in antiperspirants contribute to breast cancer, some of my clients don’t want the substance in their cosmetics. I am looking to you to help clarify this issue for me. Are parabens harmful, or are they safe? Is it true that they have been banned in Europe and Japan?

A . Parabens, which are widely used antimicrobial preservatives for cosmetics, are among the most studied of all cosmetic ingredients and have a long history of safety. Although there is an Internet myth claiming that they have been banned in both Europe and Japan, it is not true. Parabens are allowed for use by every government agency that regulates cosmetics worldwide.

Used since the 1920s in thousands of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, as well as in a few foods, parabens are a family of chemicals known as alkyl esters of p-hydroxybenzoic acid. They have various prefixes that refer to the length of the alkyl ester group that branches off of the acid. These include methyl, ethyl, benzyl, propyl and butyl.

Methylparaben is the shortest chain or smallest molecule of the group, butylparaben is the longest and the others are of various midlengths. Several parabens are found in nature, including methylparaben. This most popular variety is produced by certain MOLD species in order to protect themselves from hostile bacteria. However, to my knowledge, NONE that are used in cosmetics or other commercial products come from natural sources. All of those utilized in cosmetics are derived from PETROLEUM.

Throughout the past decade, Parabens have been recognized as several of the more than 8,000 endocrine disrupters (EDs) in the environment. These chemicals, which behave like animal estrogens, can affect hormone balances adversely or disrupt the normal function of organs that are controlled by hormones. Among the more popular plant EDs are phytoestrogens, which are found in SOY, hops, Angelica sinensis (dong quai), Salvia officianalis, clary sage, red clover, pumpkin, poppy, St. John’s wort, rosehips, yarrow and some seaweeds. They now are believed by many researchers to contribute to the increasing incidences of breast cancer, low sperm count and other estrogen-influenced medical problems in humans, as well as to alter the sexual characteristics of fish, frogs and other species by contaminating fresh water supplies. My advice – Stay away from ALL Parabens and Phenoxyethenols – Both found to be in 98% of All Breast Cancer studies.

The bee hive is a storehouse of goodies for great health. Bee Pollen, Bee Propolis, Royal Jelly, and Raw Honey have, for thousands of years, been credited with giving longer life, younger appearance and a zest for living!

These four natural ingredients have many, many documented healthful benefits. Use only products that are all natural, contains no additives or preservatives, and has no fat.

Be sure that the products are processed without heat because bee products contain every known ingredient necessary for a balanced diet. An important factor in the retention of nutrient value is that the product is processed completely without heat so that the nutrients and living enzymes are left intact. Heat processing destroys the nutrients and kills the spores. No laboratory process can replicate the life forces found in these natural products.

The Incredible Ingredients!

The combined effects of Bee Pollen, Bee Propolis, Royal Jelly, and Raw Honey appear to be greater than the sum of the individual effects. The products work best together.

BEE POLLEN – A critical factor in the quality of Bee Pollen is that it must come from multiple sources. Multiple sourcing is necessary to assure that all nutrients are present. Only the best, freshest, multi-source pollen should be used to give them the cross-pollination benefit.

BEE PROPOLIS – The Propolis should be of the best quality and purity. A unique heat-free process of combining Bee Pollen, Bee Propolis, Royal Jelly, and Raw Honey assures the full potency and life forces contained in the hive are still present in the final product.

ROYAL JELLY – Deteriorates and loses its biological activity quickly. The Royal Jelly fed to the queen bee is never more than 24 hours old. Tests comparing 24-hour old jelly to 48-hour old jelly showed that the fresher batch was four times more biologically active. Freeze-drying is the key to providing the potency.

RAW HONEY – The best honey is raw and unfiltered. Like pollen, it should come from multiple sources to assure nutritional balance. The honey should be of the best quality and should be freeze-dried in its natural state to preserve the potency of its vitamins, minerals and enzymes.

Ingredient facts for Bee Natural Tabs

BEE POLLEN

Multi-sourced, cross-pollinated, freeze-dried Pollen is used in Bee Natural Tabs. Bee Pollen has been called “nature’s perfect food” due to its valuable components. Studies show that people can live indefinitely on a diet of Bee Pollen and water. Clinical tests worldwide have shown that Bee Pollen is a ‘complete food’ that is capable of sustaining life and health.

Pollen is male seed of flowering plants. Some plants depend on the wind to carry pollen for fertilization, and are responsible for allergies in some individuals. Other plants require insects such as honeybees to distribute their pollen. Bee Pollen is simply pollen collected and processed by the bees and carried back to the hive as food for the colony.

As bees collect nectar from flowers, they select only the pollens that have the greatest amount of protein. Bee Pollen has five to seven times more protein than beef. Twenty-eight percent protein, without the heavy animal fat, makes Bee Pollen a healthy protein alternative.

Bee Pollen is also rich in vegetable protein. One pound of Bee Pollen is equivalent to 15 pounds of fruits and vegetables, has more protein by weight than meat, fish or eggs, and contains all of the nutrients needed to sustain life. It contains all the ingredients necessary for a balanced diet with the exception of the carbohydrate requirement which is satisfied by plain honey, included in each Bee Tab.

Bee Pollen is low in fats and calories, and has at least 96 active nutrients, including: 22 Amino Acids, 16 Vitamins and Minerals (including seven of the B complex group, one of which is B-12) 27 Mineral Salts, Trace Elements, Carbohydrates, Essential Fatty Acids, Hormones and Living Enzymes.

What Bee Pollen Is Used For:

Retards hardening of arteries. Strengthens circulatory system.
Combats symptoms of allergies, sinusitis, bronchitis, asthma, migraine headaches, urinary disorders, colitis, ulcers, digestion, reduce stress and increase alertness and stamina.
Regulates intestines, improves blood composition (increases in red and white blood cell count have been observed). Improves alertness, concentration, and memory.
Several studies have documented the value of Bee Pollen for the prostate, concluding that using Bee Pollen can significantly affect inflammation and swelling.
Along with a sensible diet, Bee Pollen can be considered a valuable weight loss food; its phenylalanine content acts as a natural appetite suppressant.
Bee Pollen has been used for years as a natural alternative to synthetic drugs for lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood, decreasing harmful LDL and increasing beneficial HDL.
European doctors prescribe Bee Pollen as a supplement to convalescents and athletes who report increases in energy levels, strength, vitality, stamina and improved recovery time.
It stimulates the metabolism and contains 15% lecithin which helps dissolve and flush fat from the body.
Cancer fighting properties of Bee Pollen have been noted in medical studies. It has also been reported to ease the side effects of radiation treatment and chemotherapy!

BEE PROPOLIS

Freeze-Dried Bee Propolis is used in Bee Natural Tabs. Bee Propolis is made by bees from resin found on tree buds and bark, usually from conifers and poplar trees. The bees gather the resin, blend it with wax and use it in the hive to block holes, narrow entrances and sanitize the hive interior. Bees adopted sterilization long before humans were aware of the need for hygiene. The most sterile place in nature is the bee hive. Propolis is the substance responsible for neutralizing any bacteria, fungi or virus which enters the hive.

Propolis is a highly complex mixture of waxes, resins, balsams, etheric and aromatic oils and a small amount of pollen. Propolis has been found to have bactericidal and antibiotic properties. The nutritional value alone of Propolis makes it a strong and valuable food supplement especially when combined with the other bee products that make up Bee Natural Tabs. Propolis is a source of almost all known nutrients. Health practitioners recognize Propolis as a very powerful, all natural antibiotic that can prove beneficial with disorders ranging from the common cold to arthritis.

Bee Propolis is a rich source of bioflavonoids which are important elements for building the immune system and fighting disease. Other valuable components may include cinamic acid, cinnamyl alcohol, vanillin, caffeic acid, tetochrysin, isalpinin, pincembrin, chrysin, gangin, and ferulic acid. Laboratory results have shown the superior performance of Propolis over man-made drugs.

What Bee Propolis is Used For:

Propolis is one of the most powerful natural antibiotics discovered and found in nature. It is an antibiotic substance that stimulates the body’s own natural resistance.
It contains chemical substances that support and strengthen the immune system providing excellent preventative medicine to fight disease.
Research shows that Bee Propolis has antiseptic, antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral properties.
Unlike man-made antibiotics which destroy necessary intestinal flora, Bee Propolis leaves the intestinal tract in balance; nor, will bacteria develop a resistance to Propolis as they do with man-made drugs.
Regulates hormones.
In 1991 Columbia University published a study on the cancer fighting properties of Bee Propolis.
Another study published in the June 1995 issue of Cancer Research entitled “Chemoprevention of Colon Carcinogenesis by Phenylethyl-3-methylcaffeate” showed that caffeic acid esters present in Propolis have cancer prevention properties.
Has been used successfully in cases of urinary tract infection, gout, sinus congestion, colds, influenza, bronchitis, gastritis, periodontal disease, ulcers, cancer and headaches.

ROYAL JELLY

Freeze-Dried Royal Jelly is used in Bee Natural Tabs. Royal Jelly is a creamy white liquid secreted by nurse bees and is the exclusive diet of the queen bee. When the hive loses its queen, a regular worker egg is transformed into a new queen simply by providing it a steady stream of fresh Royal Jelly. This premium diet gives her an extended life span of 5-7 years while regular worker bees live only 2-3 months and enables her to produce twice her weight in eggs daily.

In spite of extensive research, parts of this compound still remain a mystery to scientists. This mystery substance contains about 20% of an unknown material essential to maintain a species that has remained virtually unchanged for eons. Science hasn’t identified or copied this compound yet!

Royal Jelly is rich in all of the B-complex vitamins, A, C, D, and E, enzymes and amino acids (20 amino acids, including cystine, lysine, and arginine). It’s highly concentrated with rich proteins and hormones. It contains moisture, lipids, and minerals. Royal Jelly provides fatty acids, sugars, sterols, nerve message transmission). It is also rich in nucleic acids and contains gamma globulin, which stimulates the immune system, and decanoic acid, a strong antibiotic.

Only 20 years ago Royal Jelly was reserved for the very rich, since a single ounce cost thousands of dollars.

What Royal Jelly is Used For:

Studies show that Royal Jelly exhibits cancer fighting properties, is effective in relieving arthritis, lowering bad cholesterol, easing symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, and appears to be powerful in countering aspects of the aging process.
It also stimulates the circulatory system, speeds up the metabolism, and helps the body fight infection.
Royal Jelly produces a strong burst of energy and a feeling of well-being.

RAW HONEY

Freeze-Dried Raw Honey is used in Bee Natural Tabs. Raw Honey is made from the nectar of flowers. Worker bees gather the nectar and place it in their honey sac where it mixes with acid secretions. Bees reduce the moisture content from 40-80% to 18-20% before the cell is sealed and the honey is complete.

Most processed honey today has been heated and filtered, robbing it of its nutritional value and resulting in a product with little more value than a simple sweetener. Honey is an instant energy-building food containing all the essential minerals necessary for life, all of the B complex group, amino acids, enzymes and other vital factors. Honey is virtually free of bacteria and rarely spoils. Raw Honey contains up to 80 different substances, important in human nutrition. Besides glucose and fructose, Honey contains vitamins (all of the B complex A, C, D, E, and K), minerals and tract elements (magnesium, sulfur, phosphorus, iron calcium, chlorine potassium, iodine, sodium, copper, and manganese). The live enzyme content of honey is one of the highest of all foods. Honey also contains proteins, amino acids, carbohydrates, organic acids, hormones, and antimicrobial and antibacterial factors.

Much of raw, unfiltered honey’s effectiveness may be due to the presence of Bee Pollen and Propolis, but there are substances in honey as yet unidentified, that may be responsible for its positive effects.

What Raw Honey Is Used For:

Research shows that honey improves chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, sinus problems and allergies.
Honey has been used to combat depression, fatigue, insomnia, nervous disorders, urine retention problems, cramps, headaches and high blood pressure.
Beautifies and soothes the skin, clears many skin disorders.
Hastens the healing of wounds.
Facilitates the digestion and assimilation of other foods.
Has laxative, sedative, antitoxic, and antiseptic effects.
Is effective in countering anemia.

That is really sad, isn’t it? Read for more details….

I have learned a lot about the lack of safety concerns and regulations since researching natural organic and/or wild crafted products over the years.

One of the first things that was shocking was that generally the FDA doesn’t regulate cosmetics and personal care products. So if you think the FDA would let us know about toxins and harmful ingredients….they weren’t given the direction to do so! Since 1894, this industry has been a self-policing organization called the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association – or now known as the Personal Care Products Council with over 600 different product distributors and manufacturers. It’s like having the fox watch the hen house to ensure safety.

So, what is necessary for you to be aware of in shampoos, conditioners, lotions, etc.? Make use of resources that help you make right choices of what is safe for your health and that of your family. A few changes have come about recently on some toxins but there are still a lot of toxic ingredients in lots of products. Here are a few examples of toxic ingredients that can actually make you ill if used daily in shampoos and conditioners:

• Sodium Lauryl Sulfate [often referred to as SLS] – This chemical ingredient helps shampoo and soap to lather and foam. It’s used in car washes and garages as a degreasing agent. Acting as a performance enhancer, it helps other ingredients penetrate, allowing potentially toxic ingredients to enter the bloodstream. According to the Environmental Working Group (EWG), research on SLS has shown links to
o Skin and eye irritation
o Development and reproductive toxicity
o Endocrine disruption
o Ecotoxicological, biochemical or cellular changes
o Neurotoxicity
o Possible mutations and cancer

Visit www.ewg.org to see the list of research studies in their PubMed library. There are over 15,000 studies as well as lists of health concerns and adverse conditions related to SLS.

Note: SLS goes by a number of names, including: sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, ammonium laurel sulfate, sodium dodecylsulfate, sulfuric acid, sodium salt sulfuric acid, A12-00356, Akyposal SDS, Aquarex ME, and Aquarex methyl. Check all personal care products for this ingredient.

• Paraben – Used as a preservative, this toxin has been linked to hormone and endocrine system disruption. Used as an antimicrobial ingredient, this chemical is considered a xeno-estrogen (false estrogen) because it interferes with normal hormonal and estrogen behavior. Xeno-estrogens mimic, disrupt and block normal behavior and pathways. For example, parabens can impact fertility, pregnancy, menstruation, and even fat cell activity. Too much estrogen can cause weight gain, fluid retention and depression. Scientists have found paraben nodules in breast cancer tumors.

Note: Check all personal care product labels for these names –
o Propylparaben
o Parahydroxybenzoic acid
o Parahydroxybenzoate
o Methylparaben
o Ethylparaven
o Buylparaben
o Benzyl-parahydroxybenzoic acid
o Methyl-parahydroxybenzoic acid
o Propyl-parahydroxybenzoic acid
o Butyl-parahydroxybenzoic acid

• Dioxane – This toxic chemical was one of over 200 carcinogens linked to breast cancer in 2007 in the medical journal, Cancer. This link to cancer was reported as early as 1965, yet it is still found in personal care products today – for both adults and children!

In 1985, the FDA requested a voluntary limit of dioxane in products of 10 parts per million, but that has NOT occurred.

• Diethanolamine (DEA) – This toxic chemical ingredient reacts with nitrite preservatives and contaminants in personal care products to form nitrosodienthanolamine (NDEA). NDEA is a known, potent carcinogen.

DEA seems to block choline, a nutrient vital for healthy brain development. Pregnant women actually need extra choline for fetal development. An associate dean for research at the UNC School of Public Health believed that choline is necessary to help provide proper nutrients for a health baby.

The FDA has reported that around 42% of all cosmetics are contaminated with NDEA – with shampoos having the highest concentrations.

• Monosodium glutamate (MSG) – In your shampoo? A joke, right? Nope, it’s often hidden and referred to as yeast extract, naiad, glutamic acid, or glutamates. However, the reactions to it in your shampoo are just like in your food. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, numbness, burning sensations, tingling, facial pressure, nausea, drowsiness and weakness.

• Propylene Glycol – This ingredient is found in engine coolants and antifreeze, airplane deicers, tire sealants, rubber cleaners, polyurethane cushions, paints, enamels, and other products as a solvent or surfactant. It’s a skin irritant that can also cause liver abnormalities and kidney damage. It’s more than likely in your shampoo!

So, what can be done about this?

Keep a list of toxic and harmful ingredients in your purse or wallet. Check it against the labels of EVERY product you plan to buy! CHOOSE to be chemical-free whenever possible.

REMEMBER, your skin cannot protect you against these toxins. It is our largest organ with the greatest absorption for everything that touches your skin. And toxins in your shampoo and conditioner could well be MORE toxic than what is in your food.

There are great sources for safe, natural organic and/or wild crafted shampoos and conditioners for you! You do have a choice for safer, organic products and you can protect your family against the unseen threats from toxic ingredients.

And, of course, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that one of the greatest products I have ever found in my years of research for eliminating toxins from our body is MaxGXL, a glutathione accelerator. You can learn more about this product and its anti-aging abilities at http://www.connieclark.max4u.com

One of the primary perpetrators? Pesticides. Pesticides are continuously used in today’s farming methods. With the thousands of pesticides in use today, it’s easy to think there’s nothing you can do to safeguard yourself. But a study conducted at Emory University in 2008 paints a much more positive picture.

Researchers recruited Seattle-area school children for a year-long study.1 The study looked at the role of dietary produce in pesticide exposure. When the study began, the children were eating traditionally grown fruits and vegetables. Based on urine samples, all the children had considerable levels of one type of pesticide, organophosphorus pesticides (OP). Researchers chose to look at OPs because they’re so extensively used today.

During the course of the experiment, the children were given organic produce for one to two weeks instead. After eating organic instead of conventional produce for just five days, the results were spectacular. There were no detectible residues in the children’s urine. When they changed back to conventional produce, OP levels rose again. The switch was repeated several times during the year. The results were consistent; after just a few days of consuming organic instead of traditional fruits and vegetables, pesticide levels were no longer detectable.

The ” Simple-Green” is not so simple after all. I hope this doesn’t surprise anyone because it was published a while back that most of the so called “green-products” were not really green.

How embarrassing does it get?

I am disgusted! This information is from Environmental Working group. Be sure and read the whole thing… read what they say about the product at the bottom of the post or better yet… go to the website at http://www.ewg.org/schoolcleaningsupplies/cleaningsuppliesoverview?id=209

And that was just one supposedly “green” product. I haven’t even touched on all the traditional cleaners out there that are NOT considered “green”. There are health solutions to better, safer products than the so called “traditional” types of household cleaners.
______________________________________________________________
One thing is apparent. We just are not aware enough concerning the health problems of the countless amounts of chemicals in extensive use today. Here’s why:

Over 80,000 artificial chemicals are approved to be used in the united states. Items include pesticides, fertilizers, plastics, paints, coatings, fire retardants, and also oil dispersants (Gulf oil spill, anyone?).

Just a few hundred of the 80,000 chemicals are actually tested for safety.

Numerous chemicals used today are known and suspected carcinogens. Carcinogen means cancer causing.

Even with this identified poisoning, the vast majority of chemicals remain unregulated.

Chemicals generally are studied for safety individually. This tells us nothing at all about the harm to health that may result from being exposed to multiple chemicals at once.

Additionally, single chemical testing doesn’t represent reality. All of us are exposed to dozens, and even hundreds, of chemicals at a time.

What little regulating oversight that does exist for these chemicals uses the platform that chemicals are safe unless proven otherwise. This is one time when “innocent until proven guilty” is not a wise strategy.

Exposure to chemicals while pregnant and childhood is extremely damaging to health.

Unfortunately, over 300 chemicals is found in the umbilical cord blood of newborn babies. We are all “pre-contaminated.”

Simple measures, Big Payoff

Hence the cat is out of the bag. We are all subjected to countless potentially toxic chemicals from the day we are conceived to the day we die. There is some good news in this otherwise grim picture. Based on the PCP report1, several simple, but effective measures can significantly reduce our contact with synthetic chemicals along with other environmental hazards.

Whenever possible, eat foods grown without fertilizers, pesticides, and growth hormones the vast majority of time.

Store drinking water in stainless steel or bisphenol-A (BPA) free containers.

Microwave foods only in ceramic or glass containers, not plastic. Do not put very hot foods into plastic containers.

Choose foods, home and garden products, and toys in a way that minimizes your child’s exposure to potentially toxic substances.

Filter your drinking water. Use bottled water only if tap water is known to be contaminated with substances or microbes that are not filtered out.

Avoid secondhand tobacco smoke in the home, car, restaurants, bars, stores, and other public places.

Avoid exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals and known or suspected carcinogens when planning to get pregnant and throughout pregnancy. This includes BPA, a known endocrine disruptor.

Properly get rid of household chemicals, paints, cleaning supplies and other materials.

Make informed decisions about products you purchase and use. Visit Household Products Database , a service of the National Institutes of Health, and the Environmental Working Group’s Health and Toxics Database . These resources offer an abundance of information to assist you to make healthier choices in your every day life.

When a job exposes you to chemicals, remove shoes before entering your house. Wash your work clothes separately from the family’s regular laundry to minimize kids’ exposure.

Check radon levels in the home. Radon is a naturally occurring, colorless, odorless gas that can accumulate in confined spaces, such as basements. Exposure to radon is the leading cause of lung cancer-related deaths in non-smokers.

Make certain your health care provider keeps accurate records of medical tests that may result in harmful exposures, such as radiation from x-rays or scans. If these records aren’t being kept, keep them yourself. With this information, you can make better decisions about the benefits and risks of medical tests.

Wear a headset when using a cell phone, text instead of calling, and keep calls brief.

Avoid ultraviolet light by applying sunscreen and proper sun-protective clothing. Never use tanning beds.

Conflict Dispute

Despite what appears a slam dunk on environmental hazards and cancer, this report is not without dispute. Michael Thun, MD, a respected physician and epidemiologist with the American Cancer Society points out that there is no doubt that environmental pollution is of profound importance to human health and the health of the planet. But he fears that the report may minimize the focus on other known, modifiable causes of cancer that currently offer the best opportunity for cancer prevention.2

The scientific evidence most solidly supports the major causes of cancer as being tobacco use, obesity, alcohol, infections, hormones, and sunlight. According to Thun, the report implies that pollutants are the major cause of cancer, but this is far from a settled issue.2

Go that one step further

The best approach is to hedge your bets in all areas of cancer and other disease prevention. It makes sense to take the precautions (detailed above) presented by the PCP. But it also makes a whole lot of sense to tackle the things we can control in our daily lives.

There is no doubt that obesity is a leading cause of cancer and other chronic diseases in this country. Make your body a priority and make sure you’re not among the two-thirds of Americans who are overweight and obese. Exercising regularly is another known cancer prevention technique, so lace up those sneakers and get moving. Always avoid tobacco in any form.

And don’t forget about food. Simply put, the right foods can be used to your advantage to “cancer-proof” and disease-proof your lifestyle. Plant foods are your ticket to detoxifying from a toxic lifestyle. By plant foods I mean the vegetables, fruit, whole grains, beans, peas, nuts and seeds free from toxins/pesticides. From antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, to the nutrients known to aid with detoxification, plant foods are a must.

Do you wonder how that is possible, or would you simply ignore it? Please read on. How it could be, as reported by many health experts, is that

your glutathione levels are too low.

This is a very common situation with all the oxidation stress our toxic environment provides, along with a little assistance from our very own personal stress.

What makes Antioxidants Necessary?

Oxidation occurs at the cellular level during the body`s efforts to create energy and fortify cells metabolizing oxygen. The oxygen molecules that aren’t fully absorbed become toxins, unstable atoms missing an electron, which begin robbing cells of electrons to balance and stabilize themselves. Then the atoms robbed of the electron become poisons and continue the oxidation process, stealing electrons as required from other sources.

A sequence of events then occurs. This changes the identity and function of those atoms as they combine in abnormal ways, ultimately causing cellular and DNA damage. And eventually, countless medical concerns and disease will breed freely. It is the negative effects of oxygen, similar to the way metal becomes rusty with exposure to air. We must continue to breathe, so you’ll encounter some free radicals shed from just that.

Moreover, the air we breathe is loaded with toxins and pollutants, as well as in the majority of the foods we eat, and any pharmaceuticals that may have been taken. Every one of these create more free radicals while stressing the body with poisonous matter. Add this to the immune system`s damage from psychological stress with our current lifestyle and the craziness around us. Well then, it truly is amazing that so many of us still remain ambulating and communicating!

But we need so much protection from all this in order to move and converse better and longer and stay away from hospitals meanwhile. So whatever can neutralize the free radical oxidation process while eradicating toxins is critical. Enter antioxidants, comprising the most overlooked yet most critical one of them all: glutathione, the main element to maximum oxidation protection and detoxification while building a strong immune system.

Several Glutathione Details

Glutathione has been labeled as the master antioxidant. It is an intracellular antioxidant essential for greatest antioxidant activity from all other antioxidants, including vitamin C, vitamin E, CoQ10, and all the blueberries you can eat. It removes toxins from cells, and protects against radiation.

There is however a problem. Purchasing something that says it is glutathione is a waste of supplement popping money. The body`s digestive system is quite poor at taking glutathione into where it needs to go. There is hope, there are other solutions to raise the body`s glutathione, which are disclosed later herein.

It is the body`s intracellular function to produce glutathione in the liver and body cells from three amino acids, cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycene. Sufficient amounts are needed to catalyze and retain all the antioxidant`s you consume for your protection. It even serves as protection to prevent antioxidants from becoming free radicals (poisons) themselves, regenerating and recycling them. As you get older, your body`s ability to produce glutathione slows down.

Many now consider reduced glutathione production as the real cause of rapid aging and ailments that are considered “normal” from aging, including Alzheimer`s, inflammatory conditions from allergy to arthritis, asthma, COPD, Parkinson`s Disease, and coronary and autoimmune diseases. DNA damage resulting from toxins frequently leads to cancer. This is a standard scheme that goes askew as we age. If one can enhance internal glutathione production, the energized immune system will create a strong basis of good health, regardless of age.

Glutathione in our bodies can go inactive when it becomes saturated from doing it`s work, but it tends to replenish itself. Under ideal environmental conditions, 10% of the glutathione remains inactive, or oxidized, while the other 90% is active, or reduced, and continues to stabilize cell molecules and other antioxidants, plus remove toxins. This is the function of normal metabolism`s waste removal of poisons by glutathione. But the battering of additional toxins from our environment is too much to maintain that 90/10 ratio.

As active glutathione drops below 90% and allows the inactive to grow beyond 10%, the fight for the best possible total wellness becomes a losing struggle. It becomes too complex to remove toxins naturally. As they build up, active glutathione lessens even more. Active or reduced glutathione is also known as GSH, while inactive or oxidized glutathione is known as GSSG. When GSH falls below 70%, one`s health begins serious declining. It`s a major time of trouble.

How to Enhance GSH

Since supplements labeled glutathione are virtually worthlessbecause the digestive system won`t take it in, what distribution systems can enhance the body`s ability to create and maintain the proper level of GSH? Well, intravenous glutathione will have immediate results for extreme situations, but cannot contribute to the cycle of circulating GSH. Plus, it is extremely expensive. It`s like recharging a car battery with a broken alternator. The instant the battery empties, the car quits running.

For continual, permanent protection, it`s necessary to utilize precursors that energize the cells to create their own GSH glutathione, as required internally, via the liver and body cells. So it`s important to supply the body GSH precursors. Of the three amino acids that generate GSH (active glutathione) in the liver and cells, cysteine is considered the most critical link. It has been identified that cysteine, balanced properly with glutamic acid and glycene, stimulates GSH production.

S-Adenosylmethionine (SAM-e), N-acetylcysteine (NAC), and supplements made from unadulterated, whey protein elevate cysteine levels. Whey protein products that specialize in boosting the liver`s GSH production have become the easiest and most common choice. Whey is a by product of cheese or yogurt processing. Unadulterated means the whey comes with no additives or preservatives. Additionally, the milk sources are non-hormone injected organic fed cows or goats. There are a small number of whey protein products that promote GSH production with cysteine. However, the glutathione levels are not significantly increased and are not recycled.

But finally, there is a nutritional supplement that does provide the necessary precursors to the cells to produce their own GSH glutathione, internally, via all body cells. Because of the research and breakthrough discovery of glutathione’s importance to total wellness, Dr. Robert Keller, having spent many, many years perfecting a glutathione accelerator, formulated and introduced MaxGXL, which

allows the body to manufacture its very own cellular glutathione and improves your overall total wellness of your body.

On average, the increased level of glutathione is 200%. This one and only breakthrough total wellness product is science-based, with double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover clinical studies and has a composition patent (typically reserved for only pharmaceutical products). You can’t get better than this and it is the only proven product that raises your glutathione levels significantly. You can learn more about this important, vital nutritional supplement at http://www.connielclark.com and become focused on your very own total wellness regimen.

In addition to the supplementation you end up using, or instead of using a supplement, here are some foods that are useful toward the GSH, glutathione circulating process. It is important to consume organic foods as the toxins added to conventional foods minimize the GSH levels. Unfortunately, you need to eat so much of these foods that it is literally impossible to do so to significantly raise your levels of glutathione. But these foods certainly are beneficial to your total wellness.

All meats are high in cysteine, but unless you can go truly organic, the hormones and toxins will virtually neutralize GSH. Watermelon, walnuts, avocado, asparagus, broccoli, and tomato are good choices for glutathione enhancement, as are many dark green leafy vegetables. Ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, wheat germ and oat flakes fill out this list.

The investigation and finding of glutathione`s importance, and the process to manufacture it within the body for proper distribution is relatively recent. GSH glutathione`s importance as an essential antioxidant is indisputable. The health implications for just this one single agent, internally promoted by proper precursors, are thorough and all-encompassing.

Healthy Systems (www.healthysystems.com/optforsuccess) is the home of the best tasting Organic Aloe Vera in the industry. It is said that a company is only as a good as it’s product line. At Healthy Systems we believe this. However, we also believe that the people have a lot to say about a company.

What are people saying about Healthy Systems US patented Organic Aloe Vera product line?

A sincere, unsolicited recommendation is the ultimate voice for our product line, our service, our company and about our thousands of dedicated affiliates and customers.

The simple truth is the products, (especially our Organic Aloe Vera line) makes our affiliates and customers very healthy. That makes them happy …and that’s what makes them keep coming back.

And to you …whether you found us by searching for information about arthritis, burns, yeast infections or you were referred to us by one of our many affiliates, we would like to welcome you to our home, www.healthysystems.com/optforsuccess. Look around, take your time and explore our site.

If you have a specific question or concern …just send us an email and we promise to get back to you within 24 hours.

We also promise you the “best tasting Aloe Vera” in the market place.

That said …here is a little basic information about our unique, organic, and US patented Aloe Vera.

Of the 240 species, four are recognized as having nutritional value, with barbadensis miller leading the group. Barbadensis is the type of Aloe Vera used in most commercial products available today.

The gel contains over 75 nutrients and 200 active compounds, including 20 minerals, 18 amino acids and 12 vitamins. A high quality product, which uses only the nutritious inner gel …not the outer rind …the rind of the leaf, is one of the most nutritious drinks and best skincare products, available.

Aloe Vera is proven to increase new cell growth three fold and promotes rapid wound healing after skin resurfacing treatments using chemical and mechanical procedures. Aloe Vera is effective in treating a variety of dermatological conditions and diseases of the skin. Aloe Vera penetrates deeply without the aid of “heat.” Aloe Vera relieves pain, swelling and tightness associated with strains, sprains and burses while reducing inflammation in muscles, tendons (tendonitis) and joints (bursitis). Aloe Vera relieves itching and skin irritations resulting from many causes. It also promotes healing of chemical burns, minor sunburns, razor burns, floor burns and mat burns.

Taken internally, Aloe Vera acts as an aid in digestive, inflammation problems and combats yeast infections.

My very favorite flavor of Aloe Vera is Mango-Papaya…yummy!!!
And, of course, if you add a glutathione accelerator to your health regimen, you will be optimizing your health even more. Glutathione is widely recognized as the most powerful of all antioxidants, and one scientist has referred to it as “the great multi-tasker” in a 2006 article. MaxGXL® is not a glutathione supplement, but rather provides the body with the precursors it needs to manufacture and absorb glutathione.

Get your health up to the MAX and keep it that way with good, high quality health products:
Glutathione Accelerator: MaxGXL
Essante Worldwide: Toxic-Free Living Products
Miracle Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera 5000
